He arrived at the blues through rock’n’roll, in search of its origins. He began playing the drums and, when he was already one of the best in the country, he took on the challenge of playing the harmonica, singing and writing his own songs. Nonconformist, bold and caustic, with a deep knowledge of the genre, his blues clearly reflects his personality, always seeking the most genuine side, the most rusty and least sweetened expression. A declared enemy of tricks and dodges, his music is as raw as it is sincere, and the façade of a distant sort of man fails to mask an artistic and personal sensitivity that leads him to write songs that do not get lost in gratuitous flourishes and dig straight into the wound. True to his ideals and aspirations, he fled the SEAT assembly line to become a professional musician, and he was also one of the founders of the Honky Tonk Blues Bar, a reference point for local blues for decades. The devil’s music caught him through its honesty and its need for commitment. “If you don’t believe it when you play it, nobody else will. Oh, and it’s a perfect soundtrack for fucking”.
