Without losing his roguish smile, he has travelled the reverse road that leads from rock’n’roll to the blues, with a settled home in boogie woogie. The boy who began performing at the jams of the historic La Boîte venue has become an artist with thousands of kilometres behind him, who has consolidated a musical project, Wax & Boogie, with his partner Ster Wax, with an international reach. A devotee of the classics, Al Copley, Memphis Slim and Meade Lux Lewis are part of the personal hagiography of this tireless pianist, who puts his soul into everything he does and has in the frenzy of live performance his best weapon for charming the audience. Even though boogie has stolen his soul, his heart belongs to the blues: “In some way my life revolves around this style.
