She began studying at the Municipal School of Music of Sant Andreu at the age of eight, and one fine day she realised that this, devoting herself to music, was what she liked most in the world. It was there that she began to take an interest in modern music and jazz, and she stumbled upon the blues straight away. “Right at the outset they spoke to me about the blues, the style with which you can express any feeling, they told me”. Little by little she made her way into the style, listening to and studying the great masters, and always travelling the paths of African-American roots music, jazz, dixie, swing and blues, a genre that she confesses she enjoys both as a performer and as a listener, and whose capacity to convey emotions seduces her: “When I listen to it I feel that I am transported to another place and another era, reliving incredible stories with all their passion”. A passion that she passes on by teaching at various music schools in Barcelona.
