Like so many others, he came to the blues in search of the origins of rock and rockabilly, but he delved deeper into it when he began to study the harmonica. At the age of twenty-six he formed his first band, an acoustic blues duo with which he became a finalist in the SBB competition, and he began performing regularly in the Barcelona and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat area. Since then he has continued to deepen his study of the harmonica and has combined teaching work with live performances, hooked, by his own confession, “by the repetitive, constant rhythm of the blues, which catches you until you go into a trance, by the emotion it carries and also the irony and the fun of many numbers”. Not only has it given him a musical grounding that allows him to master any kind of modern music and to improvise, it has also enabled him to fulfil his most intimate wishes: “It has allowed me to fulfil the dream of being a musician and playing live, to create my own harmonica school and to devote myself one hundred per cent to music, as well as to meet wonderful people and fantastic places and come to understand music”.
