Sax

Mancuso · Simiuws Shochs · La Escuela De Blues Social Club · Pez Rojo · Wild Blues

Enthusiastic, impulsive, vehement, ingenious and visionary, the blues of Barcelona owes a debt to a whole host of initiatives of his that have marked its history for more than twenty years. A militant for lost causes that deserve to be won, passionate about music and everything that surrounds it, he was abducted by the devil’s music one night as he was coming home from a B.B. King concert with his inseparable friend Ricard, with whom he created the Capibola project. He came to music through pure passion and began to play carried along by his enthusiasm and his eagerness to pass on his love for the blues to everything around him. His respect for those who practise the trade, who are most of his friends, prevents him from considering himself a professional, yet he plays the sax with the same energy, conviction and longing for freedom that he devotes to everything else. Always with a romantic eye fixed on social justice, he has waded into every puddle he has come across and taken on every challenge that has fallen his way, for the love of culture and of something that began as a hobby and that, in his own words, has given him practically everything: the blues.
