Convinced that she has come into the world “to entertain”, she began treading the boards at the age of eleven and has since gone on working and training, always around her declared passion: the spoken and the sung voice, whose arcana she passes on (or pollinates, as she likes to say) to her pupils. She has done theatre, radio, voice-over work and a great deal of music. A woman of character, her stage presence is charged with energy and emotion, and she is capable of feeling at ease in the most diverse genres: from funk to rockabilly, by way of reggae, rumba fusion, soul and, of course, the blues. It is in this genre that she pours out her greatest charge of expressiveness, both with her band and in duo format with some of the city’s leading musicians, or with her great personal project, the musical play “La vida en blues”, in which she brings twelve characters to life all on her own, travelling through the history of music of African-American roots, with a notable presence of the most transgressive women performers. And always with a smile, an ability to communicate and a great sense of humour, because, as she says herself: “I was born to be a showwoman and to do comedy.”
