He arrived in Barcelona at the age of five, studied at the Liceu conservatoire and at the Taller de Músics, and began working as a session musician at nineteen, after cutting his teeth playing in rock bands of various kinds. But his landing in the world of the blues came about when he shared a flat with Mattia Sinigaglia and Pol Jubany, founders of the group La Testapazza, winners of one of the first competitions organised by the SBB and where his career in the genre began. In little more than a decade he has become a familiar figure on the Barcelona scene, playing with different bands and collaborating with leading national and international musicians such as Thomas Toussaint, Mike Keller or Keith Dunn. He states that in the blues he has found a certain roughness and “truth” about different aspects of life, and that it has allowed him to grow as a musician and as a person: “Above all, what it has given me on a personal level are the experiences I have lived through with all my colleagues, which have made me the person I am now”.
