He stumbled upon the blues as a kid hooked on hard rock, thanks to a record by Eric Burdon, and by pulling on the thread of British blues he reached its origins and decided to give up studying music theory and classical guitar and to plunge into the blues and rock… and forty-five years later he is still here. He met his first bandmates in the early eighties, when he was studying psychology, and with them he set about investigating Barcelona’s nightlife, connecting with the circuit of pioneers devoted to African-American roots music and playing his first gigs. Today he is one of the most veteran and active members of the Barcelona blues scene, always in love with a music in which what seduces him, above all, is its capacity for communication: “The fact of being able to reach people anywhere in the world who connect with the blues instantly and who, regardless of age or geographical origin, understand you perfectly while you play.”
