Piano

Little Bastard · Cotton Fields · Louisiana Vamper · Riders · Amadeu Casas & Blues a Go Go · Crazy Blues, Lluís Coloma Trio

He began playing and studying classical piano but, since the paths of the blues are inscrutable, in his adolescence he was captivated by rock’n’roll, hypnotised by one of its wildest representatives: Jerry Lee Lewis. From a very young age he slid down the chute that leads from rock to jazz, to boogie woogie and to the blues, going on to become the finest and best-known Catalan and Spanish representative of these last two genres on the international stage. Barrelhouse Chuck, Bob Seeley, Sax Gordon and Carl Sonny Leyland have been some of his mentors and companions, and the stages of the world’s most prestigious festivals, from Chicago to Malaysia, are the natural habitat of this artist who, on top of his already proven virtuosity and his enormous passion for the music he plays, adds his talent as a composer of original pieces in which he combines the tradition of blues and jazz with his vernacular influences. What seduces him about the blues is “its expressive force, tradition, energy, rhythm…” and with it he travels the world as a fundamental part of his luggage: “It is always there when you need it, both in the bad moments and in the good ones”.
