Martín Burguez

Matías Cipiliano was to blame, the guitar teacher who recommended that a young twenty-three-year-old Burguez try his luck with a singer who needed a blues guitarist. He was caught for ever and the following year he was already forming his first band, El Club del Jump. In 2021 he settled in Barcelona and embarked on a meteoric career, collaborating with local musicians and creating two bands, Martín Burguez & His Rhythm Combo and The Groovy Four, in which he displays an impeccable guitar touch, an excellent voice and an elegant stage presence. With a considerable knowledge of the genre, in his musical Olympus the brightest stars of electric blues reign supreme, from T-Bone Walker to Jimmy Rogers, passing through the three Kings (B.B., Freddie and Albert), Jimmy Reed, Johnny Guitar Watson or Guitar Slim, and this shows in his ability to perform the most diverse styles, always offering a personal contribution: “It’s the path I chose years ago and the path I intend to follow, knowing the genre, learning from it and trying to seek a way of my own… as the artists I admire did.”
