He had his first guitar at the age of six, and although his first approach to it was through flamenco, he discovered African-American roots music listening to rock’n’roll records but above all through the film Crossroads, by Walter Hill, which he saw when he was only ten. Since then he remained captivated by the devil’s music and gave his first concert at sixteen: “It was at a Sant Joan’s Eve party, it wasn’t a great concert, but it was a good start”. His mastery of both the acoustic and the electric guitar, an instrument he learned in a self-taught way, has made him an outstanding figure on the Barcelona blues scene, in which this specialist of the fingerpicking technique, with a flamenco-tinged touch, moves like a fish in water, with the respect of his fellow professionals. A versatile instrumentalist, he moves along the most guitar-driven path of the blues, a style that gives him the possibility of expressing his feelings and of which he confesses that what catches him is its more passionate side: “The feeling, the sincerity, the emotion, the melancholy and above all the passion that this music conveys”.
