He was part of one of the most fortunate year groups of the Escola de Blues de Barcelona, where he met most of the members of his first band, The Black Snakes, after which he joined Wax & Boogie, and since then he has never stopped growing musically, until he became one of the most respected double bassists, sought after by bands from every corner of the country. Elegant and forceful in equal measure, he confesses that he finds no logical reason for his identification with the blues, a genre he came to after passing through the metal of the nineties, the glam of the eighties, the hard rock of the seventies and the hippies of the sixties, until he reached the origins: “Suddenly I was listening to Charlie Patton and the Memphis Jug Band. But the search goes on and the blues has stayed with me like a scar”. His musical path is the trail marked out by the double bassists who created a sound and moved the way of playing forward, from Willie Dixon to Larry Taylor, via Ernest Big Crawford, Pops Foster or Billy Hadnott. Professional to the marrow, it is precisely this search for a sound and the eagerness to sharpen his finest weapons on a stage that drive him.
