Of all the new Barcelona blues generation, he is undoubtedly the one who practises the most genuine side of it, the style closest to what used to be heard in the juke joints of the Mississippi, as can easily be deduced from his confessed influences, from Blind Lemon Jefferson to Big Bill Broonzy, by way of Lonnie Johnson, Furry Lewis, Blind Willie McTell, Tampa Red, Eddie Lang, Django Reinhardt, Bessie Smith and a long etcetera of pre-war musicians. An introspective artist, his way of playing and singing carries a strong charge of authenticity that connects directly with his way of approaching the genre: “It was a style I connected with at a particular moment in my life, when I was going through a considerable existential crisis, and I realised that this was the music that was in tune with what I was feeling”. He began playing in 2006 with the group Flash Cocodrilos, and since then, although he does not appear too often, he has become one of the most talented young artists on the blues scene, a music that is something more: “A way of understanding this world, so often so raw and hostile”.
