He is a standout member of the latest generations of instrumentalists to arrive in Barcelona blues, into which he ventured at the hands of Chino Swingslide, who guided him along the paths of traditional blues, jump blues and rhythm&blues. In love with music since the age of fourteen, when he began playing in groups of friends, orchestras and bands of every kind, he acknowledges that he is in the midst of a phase of learning and exploration of a genre in which he confesses himself seduced by its “eternal simplicity within an enormous complexity, in general, and by the growl style of the saxophone, in particular”. His enthusiasm, his curiosity and his willingness to work have led him, in a short space of time, to take part in numerous projects by musicians whom, only a few years ago, he admired as role models. By his own confession, it is rare for him to let a collaboration offer slip by, and not for want of discernment, but out of sheer thirst for knowledge and with an open and enthusiastic spirit that leads him to affirm that his best contribution to a musical project is “bringing a good working atmosphere and commitment. And my best weapon up on stage is undoubtedly my sax”.
