Guitar

Quiròfan

You could say that this guitarist of the latest generation of Barcelona blues cut his teeth listening to the classics of the genre, albeit reinterpreted by his father, himself a guitarist, who was the one to pass on to him the bug for black music, which he took to in the most natural way: “I have never asked myself whether or not I wanted to play this genre, because I think that in truth music has no genre. Without realising it, I have simply gone on playing what was being born inside me”. He first trod a stage seriously at the age of fifteen, accompanying his father, and he confesses that since then he has never let go of the guitar. Although he is at the beginning of his career, he has become a young promise who combines musical virtuosity with a professional attitude. “When you’re up there, whatever happens, ‘the show must go on’. You have to give everything”. Among his references are musicians such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King or John Mayer, but his influences also extend to artists as diverse as Miles Davis, Frank Zappa or John Coltrane. A breath of fresh air who leaves an enigma when he reveals what seduces him about the blues: “the silence”.
