Blues Fourteen · The Suitcase Brothers · Cool Grinders · Beat Shakers · Victor Puertas & the Mellow Tones

This young man has a divine gift, and it is not we who say so but Jerry Portnoy, who places him on a par with Kim Wilson or Rick Estrin. He came to the blues infected by his brother Pere, the other half of the duo The Suitcase Brothers, in which Victor first began to leave audiences astonished at the age of only eighteen. Endowed with an innate talent and musical ability that allow him to draw the true sound of African-American music out of his harmonica, a Hammond organ or even an out-of-tune guitar hanging on the wall of a bar, since then he has travelled a long and swift road that has led him to play with practically all the best Spanish blues musicians and to triumph away from home as well, especially in the United States and in France. He has the awards at the International Challenge de Memphis to vouch for him and, above all, the respect and admiration of the audience and the professionals of a genre whose authenticity seduces him: “Simplicity, the naked truth, so fragile and so harsh at the same time”, and which is his great passion in life: “I can say that the blues gives me life, or at least a great part of it.”
