That Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Big Joe Turner and Blue Mitchell number among his main favourite artists gives a clear idea of the depth and breadth of the knowledge this talented instrumentalist has of the genre, which he began to discover just as he began to take a real interest in music. After decades of being an essential part of the Barcelona scene, he describes his professional evolution with overwhelming simplicity and naturalness:

“You start out as an amateur, you like it, you begin to get paid work and suddenly you decide that this is the life you are looking for”. A virtuoso, elegant and eclectic, his broad range has led him to collaborate with artists and bands of styles as diverse as the Salseta del Poble Sec, Traffic, Myriam Swanson or Lucrecia, always carrying within him the spirit of the blues: “Which manages to draw beauty out of painful things” and which has offered him a way of communicating: “To be able to express myself and feel, and to feel how others express themselves and feel.
