Taller de Músics

Founded in 1979 in the heart of the Raval neighbourhood, the Taller de Músics is much more than a music school. It is also a record label, a production workshop and a jazz club, the Jazz Sí, through which a good part of the big names of the Barcelona blues have passed. Honoured on numerous occasions over its forty-five-year history, it keeps its activist and committed spirit and actively supports the city’s musical creativity as a seedbed of bands and orchestras, the running of festivals, seminars and social inclusion projects, which leads the institution to define itself by “the breadth of its stylistic outlook, its natural tendency towards a well-understood freedom and its social complicity”. Thousands of musicians of every musical genre have passed through its premises, and among its collaborators are artists of the stature of Tete Montoliu, Pau Riba, Miguel Poveda, Los Aurora, Big Mama Montse or Chicuelo.
