La Tía Felipa

For eight years, this bar in Cerdanyola fed with music and food the aficionados who came to it, drawn by the music and the good atmosphere generated by Jacinto Muñoz and Ainoa Rodríguez. Practically all the Spanish musicians, and a good part of the foreign ones, who played in Barcelona passed through it, taking advantage of Sunday morning to attend a concert and enjoy the succulent cuisine of the establishment, often captained by the photographer Agustín Bertol. It all began on the day of the first anniversary of the opening, in May 2007, with a one-off concert that became a regular event, consolidating around it a human group, “those of the Felipa”, whose presence was almost indispensable at Barcelona blues gatherings. On 28 February 2015, a jam that lasted eight hours closed the bar that owed its name to a great-aunt of Jacinto’s who always refused to open her umbrella when it rained.
